Haier is the best corporation in China.
Begun as a collective ownership corporation in Chungdo Sandongsung, Haier had the current President Zhang Ruimin as the head of the factory, and made great progress by producing refrigerators with the technology imported from the German company Libherr.
Haier is now a manufacturer of home electronics, producing 96 types of products and 15,100 models. In 2000, it was the first Chinese company to establish a refrigerator manufacturing factory in South Carolina, US, and has 13 factories abroad, such as Italy and Algeria.
The market share for Chinese home electronics is over 30%, and abroad, Haier exports to 160 countries of products worth 1.3 billion dollars annually.
